How to make a birthday gift tags
- Pick the occasion and a design, or keep the mix for a different pattern on every tag.
- Type names one per line (one tag each, repeated to fill the sheet) and who they are from. Leave them blank for write-in To and From lines.
- Print on cardstock, cut along the dashed lines, punch the circle and tie them on with ribbon or twine.
Frequently asked questions
Are the birthday gift tags free?
Yes. Make and print as many sheets as you like with no signup. Free prints carry a small Printoodle footer; a free account removes it and saves your tags to a library for next year.
Can I put names on the tags?
Yes. Type up to 24 names, one per line. Each name gets its own tag and the list repeats to fill the sheet, so three names on an 8-tag sheet gives you spares. The From line takes a name or a whole sign-off like "Love, Grandma".
How many tags fit on a page?
Eight wide tags or twelve tall tags, each with a punch-hole circle and a dashed cut line. Long name lists add up to three pages.
Will they use a lot of ink?
No. The patterns sit on light tints with white writing panels, so a full sheet uses little ink. The black-and-white option turns every design into line art for kids to color.
